Rabi Pirzada tortured on Lahore road, suspect caught
Police have registered a case after a man allegedly harassed and assaulted singer Rabi Pirzada and her driver in Lahore’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA), reported 24NewsHD TV.
According to police, an FIR was registered under Pirzada’s name following the incident in Phase 7, where a man confronted the singer and her driver.
Eyewitnesses and police sources said the accused also attacked the driver when he tried to intervene to calm the situation.
The suspect has been taken into custody, and further investigations are ongoing.
Later, Rabi Pirzada took to social media to express her gratitude to the police for their swift action.
In an Instagram post, she wrote that she was sincerely thankful to SHO Syed Raza Abbas for his full support and praised the Punjab Police as a good force that is often misrepresented.
She added, “There is justice in our country; we just need to raise our voices,” emphasising the importance of accountability and support for women.
