Suspect arrested in court for threatening Sana Yousaf murder accused

A suspect was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill the teen TikToker Sana Yousaf’s accused killer, ahead of a scheduled court hearing in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD.

According to the accused’s lawyer, the suspect warned that “orders have been taken for the murder of Omar Hayat and yours.” Earlier, the same individual reportedly handed a threatening note to Omar Hayat’s brother-in-law.

During proceedings, Additional District and Sessions Judge Muhammad Afzal Majoka ordered legal action against the suspect, emphasising that the police should handle the matter according to the law.

When questioned, the suspect claimed, “I was in jail with Omar Hayat. I have done good deeds and came to meet him.” The court, however, did not accept this justification and directed the police to take him into custody.

The arrested suspect, identified as Usama, has been handed over to the police for further investigation.

Sana Yousaf was a teenage social media influencer who gained widespread recognition on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. She was just 17 years old and had hundreds of thousands of followers, sharing videos about lifestyle, culture, women’s rights, and youth issues, making her one of Pakistan’s rising digital creators.

Tragically, she was shot and killed at her home in Islamabad in June 2025, a crime that shocked the nation and sparked widespread outrage and demands for justice. Her death also drew national attention to the safety concerns faced by young female influencers and reignited discussions around violence against women in public life.
