Two cousins die from gas inhalation at Quetta barber shop

Two cousins lost their lives while another person fell unconscious due to gas inhalation at a hairdresser’s shop near Hana Chowk, police said on Tuesday.

According to the police, the victims were sleeping inside the shop to protect themselves from the cold and had lit a coal ring for warmth. Gas leakage from the coal ring caused suffocation, resulting in the deaths.

The deceased were identified as Mohd Sawal, son of Zafar Hussain and a resident of Muzaffargarh, and Abdul Rehman, son of Manzar Hussain and a resident of Khanpur. Police said the owner of the shop, Majid, son of Khadim, was found unconscious and was shifted to hospital for medical treatment.
