Dar arrives Beijing to co-chair Pak-China Strategic Dialogue

Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar has arrived Beijing to co-chair two-day seventh round of the China–Pakistan Strategic Dialogue commencing on Sunday (tomorrow). 

The Dialogue will review the full spectrum of bilateral cooperation, identify new areas of partnership, and further advance the All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership between Pakistan and China.

It underscores the “ironclad friendship” between the two nations. The Foreign Ministers’ Strategic Dialogue is the highest consultative mechanism between Pakistan and China, providing a structured platform to review the entire spectrum of bilateral cooperation.

Economic and trade cooperation continues to anchor China–Pakistan relations. According to China’s General Administration of Customs, bilateral trade reached 23.06 billion dollars in 2024, up 11.1 percent year on year. Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar arrived in Beijing this evening.

At the airport, he was received China's Special Representative on Afghanistan Yue Xiaoyong and Pakistan's Ambassador to China.

Deputy Prime Minister will also attend events marking the beginning of the 75th year of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties , with both countries planning initiatives and commemorative activities through this year.
