Man burnt to death by in-laws in Karachi
A man was burnt to death by his in-laws in Karachi but he was able to name all the accused in a statement to the police on his death bed, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In-laws called their son-in-law to their home and burnt him alive in Baldia Town of Karachi a few days ago. Neighbours rushed him to hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
According to police, the wife of the deceased, Arthur, called him in Ittehad Town to her parents’ house in Baldia Town.
Before breathing his last, Arthur recorded a statement before the police and his family.
According to the statement, when Arthur reached his in-laws, his wife Mishi closed the gate, and as soon as he entered the house, they tortured him.
The deceased said in his statement before his death that his mother-in-law Samina, two boys and other in-laws poured petrol on him and set him on fire.
When the neighbors heard his screams, they rushed in and took him to the hospital, police said.
Arthur had nominated six people, including women, before his death.
Arthur died after being treated in the civil burns ward for a few days.
Police said that Arthur provided all the details in his statement before his death.
The father-in-law and uncle-in-law are arrested in the case while raids were being conducted to arrest others.
