PTI to seek disqualification of defected lawmakers for violating party policy

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to initiate formal action against party members who defied party policy and supported the government despite being elected under the PTI banner, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Thursday.

According to party sources, PTI will soon approach the Speaker of the National Assembly with references seeking the disqualification and de-seating of the defected lawmakers under Article 63A of the Constitution.

Senior PTI leader Asad Qaiser stated that these members were elected using PTI’s name and platform but later voted in favor of the government, a clear violation of party discipline.

“Strong action will be taken against those who betrayed the party’s mandate,” Qaiser said, signaling zero tolerance for internal dissent.
