Aamir Khan confirms intimate wedding with Gauri Spratt on July 5
Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will marry his longtime partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5 in a private ceremony.
Speaking to the media during the screening of Pritam and Pedro, Aamir revealed that the wedding will be a simple, intimate celebration at his home with only close family members and a handful of longtime friends in attendance.
The actor shared that the couple will solemnise their marriage under the Special Marriage Act through a registered ceremony before hosting a small family gathering at home.
Speaking about the special day, Aamir said that July 5 holds great significance for both of them.
He explained that only members of both families and a few close friends would attend the ceremony and requested everyone to bless the couple as they begin a new chapter together.
Aamir added that they wanted the wedding to remain a simple family celebration rather than a lavish celebrity event.
He said the couple only seeks the love, prayers and good wishes of their fans instead of a large public gathering.
This will be Aamir Khan's third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid Khan and Ira Khan.
Following their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The couple announced their separation in 2021 and have continued to co-parent their son, Azad Rao Khan.
Aamir and Gauri first met nearly 25 years ago but eventually lost touch. Years later, they reconnected, and their friendship gradually turned into a relationship.
The actor later introduced Gauri as his partner during the celebrations of his 60th birthday, making their relationship public for the first time.
