Pakistan's textile exports slump 22.6pc in June
Pakistan's textile exports suffered a sharp decline in June 2026, falling 22.63% month-on-month and 15.77% year-on-year basis, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
According to official sources, the country's textile exports stood at $1.282 billion in June 2026, down from $1.657 billion in May 2026. Compared to $1.522 billion recorded in June 2025, exports also registered a significant annual decline.
Despite the weak performance in June, the textile industry remained Pakistan's largest export sector which posted a 0.34% increase in exports during the fiscal year 2025-26. Sources said the textile exports reached $17.97 billion in FY2025-26, compared with $17.91 billion in the previous fiscal year FY2024-25.
