24 new schemes of SHC&ME to be included in Budget 2026-27

The federal government has decided to include 24 new projects in Budget 2026-27, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

According to details, the volume of these schemes is Rs 249 million. Proposal to allocate Rs 26 billion 459.7 million for the financial year 2026-27.

Rs150 million will be spent on the construction of a new historical block in Mayo Hospital in Lahore, and the same amount will be spent on the upgradation of OPD.

Rs 490 million will be allocated for the construction of a new and latest pharmacy in the Children’s Hospital in Lahore.

Recommendation to allocate Rs. 550 million for the upgradation of the Pathology Department of Children's Hospital Lahore.

Rs 300 million proposed for the new academic block of the College of Dentistry, Lahore. A proposal to purchase the latest MRI and other medical apparatus is under consideration, and Rs. 7.4 billion will be spent on it.
