Emotional post by Sana Yousaf's mother leaves social media in tears
Nearly a year after the murder of young TikTok star Sana Yousaf, her mother has shared an emotional post that has touched many social media users.
Farzana Yousaf posted an image featuring a sorrowful poetic verse that appeared to reflect a mother's pain and loss.
The Urdu couplet read: "A lifetime was spent protecting a single flower and when it finally became capable of spreading fragrance, someone else snatched it away."
The image showed Farzana Yousaf resting her head on her arms beside what appeared to be Sana Yousaf's grave, surrounded by flowers.
Sana Yousaf's murder shocked Pakistan in June 2025 when the young social media influencer was shot dead at her home in Islamabad.
According to the investigation, the accused had been trying to contact Sana repeatedly and allegedly became obsessed with her after being rejected.
Police arrested the suspect shortly after the murder.
During the trial, Sana's parents continued to seek justice for their daughter and spoke about the need to protect young women from harassment and violence.
In May 2026, an Islamabad court sentenced Umar Hayat to death for Sana Yousaf's murder.
Sana family welcomed the verdict, calling it a significant step toward justice.
Her mother, Farzana Yousaf, thanked everyone who stood by the family during their difficult journey and supported their fight for accountability.
