Fakhr Alam explains why he and Wasim Akram did not shave their heads during Hajj
Pakistani host and entertainer Fakhr Alam has addressed questions for fans who wondered why he and former cricket star Wasim Akram did not completely shave their heads while performing Hajj.
Speaking in a clip, Fakhr Alam explained that before departing for Hajj, they consulted several religious scholars to understand the rulings regarding Halq (complete head shaving) and Qasr (cutting a portion of the hair).
According to Fakhr, the scholars informed them that both options are permissible.
"Everyone has these two options," Fakhr explained. He further added that they chose Qasr after receiving religious guidance.
Wasim Akram, who appeared alongside him, agreed with the explanation.
While shaving the head carries greater spiritual reward, pilgrims may also fulfill the requirement by trimming a portion of their hair.
Fakhr also responded to criticism from some social media users who questioned their conduct during the pilgrimage.
He said Hajj is a personal spiritual journey that includes prayer, reflection, conversations and emotions
He urged people not to judge others based on brief clips or assumptions and emphasized that faith is a journey that should encourage understanding rather than criticism.
Fakhr Alam remains one of Pakistan's most recognizable media personalities.
Over the years, he has built a diverse career as a singer, rapper, television host, actor and producer.
He is widely credited with popularizing bhangra-rap fusion in Pakistan and later became a familiar face on television through hosting.
