Darren Sammy who caused quite a stir on social media yesterday by posting a cryptic tweet after he was ‘rested’ from the match against Karachi Kings and Wahab Riaz was given the captain’s job.

Wahab also confirmed during the toss that Sammy was not injured but was instead given rest for the match…a polite way to tell he had been dropped from the playing squad.

A lot of people showed love and support for Zamli’s captain, who is being called Samistan by his teammates for getting honorary citizenship of Pakistan as revealed by team’s mentor Hahim Amla.

The people also criticised Zalmi’s owner Javed Afridi on twitter and also warned Sammy against Afridi’s antics.

However, Sammy after one full day tried to clear the air about his cryptic tweet and termed Javed Afridi his brother and Zalmi as his baby and also posted a happy mood pic with Javed Afridi with the tweet.

“I can’t believe that the media would think that my bro @JAfridi10 and I would ever have an issue. I’m actually laughing at this. Listen guys I love this man as my own brother. Are u guys serious @PeshawarZalmi is my baby and nothing comes between us. Absolutely nothing,” he tweeted.

However, he took his sweet time and some other tweets before issuing a clarification on the twitter. May be after some assurances he got some assurances from Afridi…who knows…
