NAB drops inquiry against Ishaq Dar, opens new one against Shehbaz Sharif
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has closed a corruption inquiry against former finance minister and PML-N leader Ishaq Dar and launched a new inquiry against PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal presided over a meeting of NAB’s Executive Board in Islamabad on Wednesday.
The NAB’s executive board gave approval of reference against former DG Park Karachi Liaquat Qaimkhani, a key figure in fake accounts cases, the NAB statement reads.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal also gave the approval to file a reference against former CDA Chairman Imtiaz Inayat Elahi.
The NAB Chairman said corruption is the root cause of all the evils and NAB’s first priority is to bring mega corruption cases against big fish to a logical conclusion.
