Hazim reveals why he quit Hollywood and became assistant commissioner

North Nazimabad’s Assistant Commissioner (AC) Hazim Bangwar, who became overnight sensation for being the most stylish, cool and humble individual, was invited as a guest in Mathira’s show where he got candid about his journey and personal and professional lives.

Hazim revealed the truth behind his decision to leave the Hollywood industry and chose to become an assistant commissioner.

He said, “I was in Hollywood’s music industry and I had worked with artists like Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande. I was studying when I started writing songs for artists to support myself and that is when my talent got noticed.”

“I had done bachelors in fashion marketing and then LLB. My thoughts kept fluctuating between art and academia. Then I got signed to a music labeling so I was travelling, records, this and that limousine and first class. I was all set. However, when I came to Pakistan, reality hit me so hard. I was dining in the finest restaurants and here, people lack even the most fundamental necessities.”

“What am I doing then? I thought how much I had disconnected with reality and somehow, I felt that I was wasting my time and this not enough. Then I figured I should stop complaining and start doing something instead.”

“After that, I passed the exam and joined the field. Many people told me not to get into public service and go back abroad as I was already settled there but I wanted to serve Pakistan, so I am continuing in that vein.”
