Imran Khan undergoes medical checkup at Adiala Jail

A medical team completed the routine checkup of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

According to sources, a four-member medical team, led by Dr Altaf Hussain, examined him for about 30 minutes. Other team members included Dr Umar Farooq, Dr Muhammad Ali Arif, and Dr Tashfeen Imtiaz.

Gandapur hints at Imran Khan’s jail transfer soon 

Speaking on a TV program on Feb 4, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has hinted at plans to relocate PTI Founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail.

Gandapur has said that work is in progress on matters for the transfer of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Founder Imran Khan from Adiala Jail, adding that he has brought things to black and white in this regard.

“Now if the other party backs down, it means they will backtrack from their word,” he said.

“I am the chief minister; I have maintained official contacts. It was suggested that the PTI founder should be transferred somewhere and continue back-channel talks with him. But he wants his workers to be released first before his transfer,” Gandapur revealed.

Speaking during a TV program, Gandapur said there was a proposal to have a sit-down meeting with PTI Founder Imran Khan, adding that the proposal involved shifting Imran Khan to Nathia Gali or the KP Chief Minister's House. “It’s not that he himself wanted to go anywhere, but he had said that the talks should be held here only.”

The KP CM said that the PTI’s official contacts with the powers-that-be started after October 4.
