National Assembly orders FIA, ANF to investigate Mustafa Amir murder case

The Mustafa Amir murder case has reached the National Assembly, with the Standing Committee on Interior directing the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) to conduct thorough investigations into the incident.

In a significant move, the committee has also formed a sub-committee to oversee developments in the case. The sub-committee includes former federal minister Abdul Qadir Patel, National Assembly members Agha Rafiullah and Nabeel Gabol, while MQM’s Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hassan has also been appointed as a member, according to an official notification.

As part of the investigation, the Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) has been summoned to appear before the committee in its next meeting to provide updates on the case.

The murder of Mustafa Amir has sparked widespread concern, prompting lawmakers to take action to ensure justice is served. Further developments are expected as the FIA and ANF begin their probes under the committee’s directives.
