Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 launched at MWC 2025

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 on Sunday, March 2. The new Xiaomi 15 series features a Leica-tuned camera system and runs on HyperOS 2, based on Android 15.

The Xiaomi 15 series also incorporates AI-powered tools for tasks such as writing, speech recognition, image enhancement, and video recording. In collaboration with Google, Xiaomi has integrated Gemini with its apps, allowing seamless access to Xiaomi Notes, Calendar, and Clock.

Both the Xiaomi 15 Ultra and Xiaomi 15 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The Xiaomi 15 comes with UFS 4.0 storage, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equipped with UFS 4.1 storage. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is available in a 16 GB/512 GB configuration, while the Xiaomi 15 offers a 12 GB/512 GB variant.

The Xiaomi 15 Ultra boasts a 5,410 mAh battery, supporting a 90W wired charger and 80W wireless charging. The Xiaomi 15, on the other hand, has a 5,240 mAh battery, with a 90W wired charger and 50W wireless charging support.

Launched earlier in China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 6.73-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 3,200 nits. The camera setup includes a 50 MP main Leica 1-inch sensor, a 200 MP Super telephoto lens, a 50 MP floating telephoto lens, and a 50 MP ultrawide camera. It also has a 32 MP front-facing camera.

The Xiaomi 15, with a 6.36-inch AMOLED display and 3,200 nits peak brightness, features a triple-camera system: a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto lens, along with a 32 MP front camera.

The Xiaomi 15 will be available starting at EUR 999 (approximately ₹90,834) for the 12 GB/256 GB variant, while the Xiaomi 15 Ultra starts at EUR 1,499 (approximately ₹1,36,296) for the 16 GB/512 GB model.

Xiaomi will announce the availability and details for the Xiaomi 15 series in India on March 11.
