All Pakistan Petroleum Retailer Association has informed that petroleum companies have suspended the supply of petrol and diesel to filling stations across the country.
In a statement, Sumair Gulzar, the head of the association, said the companies don’t have petrol and diesel in their stocks because they knew that the government was reducing the prices of petroleum products.
The APPRA chief maintained that the local refinery had suspended its operations as it didn’t have space for storage. He, however, said that two ships carrying 60 tonnes of petrol and diesel each were due to reach Karachi on Saturday and Sunday. The supply situation will get better in a day or two, he added.
