30 theatres in Punjab put on notice over 'lack of compliance with SOPs'
The Punjab Arts Council has issued notices to 30 theatres across the province that have been built allegedly in violation of the law.
According to 24NewsHD TV, the Punjab government has directed these theatres to provide proof of their compliance with the standard operating procedures.
Most of these theatres were basically marriage halls and then they were converted into entertainment facilities. Now the Punjab Arts Council has told them to comply with the standard operating procedures otherwise their licences will be cancelled.
Two of these theatres are located in Lahore while the rest are located in Bhakkar, Rahim Yar Khan, Layyah, Sadiqabad, Okara, Sahiwal and other cities of the province.
