Gang leader killed in police ‘encounter’ in Kasur 

A gang leader was killed and his two accomplices escaped during an encounter with the Crime Control Department (CCD) in Kasur on Saturday, reported 24NwsHDTV Channel. Crime Control Department Kasur confronted a group of armed robbers fleeing after committing a robbery near Naqibabad. Seeing the police checkpoint, gang leaders opened fire. 

During the cross fire, one robbers was shot during an exchange of gunfire with the police. The other two suspects ran away during the incident. 

The deceased robber was identified as Amir Hamza. He was a well-known criminal and the leader of a gang that worked in many cities. 

Police said he was wanted in more than eight serious cases and was one of the most wanted criminals in the area.
