Kareena Kapoor’s UNBELIEVABLE encounter with Spielberg after 3 Idiots
Bollywood superstar Kareena Kapoor has made an appearance at the second- day of first-ever World Audio, Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) in India where, in the panel discussion, the diva reminisced about the completely unforeseen and unforgettable encounter with Hollywood’s popular director Steven Spielberg after her one of the super hit movies 3 Idiots.
Kareena Kapoor shared that she had an unforgettable encounter with Steven Spielberg during a restaurant amidst her international trip shortly after the release of 3 Idiots.
The star revealed that during the restaurant, the iconic director, who was sitting close by, approached her and inquired if she was the ‘girl the Indian movie about the three students, which she approved. That was the most precious moment for the star, she confessed.
In her words: "Steven (Spielberg) was dining at the same restaurant. This was a long time ago when 3 Idiots was just released. He actually approached me and said, 'You're the actress from that highly acclaimed Indian film about three students.' I replied, 'Yes, that's me.' Then he said, 'Wow, I really love that movie!' So, you see, I didn’t need to star in an English film for him to have watched 3 Idiots. That was, I believe, a memorable moment for us."

In the same meeting, Kareena was asked if she ever thought about stepping into Hollywood. She openly admitted that she has never felt compelled to seek it out and has never been someone who actively chases opportunities. She did not refute the idea completely.
