Murder suspected after university professor found dead in Lahore

Murder suspected after body of an assistant professor found late Friday night in Ichhra area of Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The police have registered a case on the complaint of Mujahid, the uncle of deceased advocate Imran Asghar.

The case has been registered against Imran Asghar's student Moaz, his mother Uzma and two other unknown persons.

According to text of the FIR, deceased Imran Asghar was teaching at the University of South Asia as assistant professor in Faculty of Law.

Moaz had taken Rs160 million from students to send them abroad through Imran Asghar. 

The accused were neither returning the money nor sending the students abroad. 

On demanding to return the cash, accused Moaz and his mother threatened to kill Advocate Imran Asghar. 

To erase the evidence of the fraud, Moaz along with his two accomplices killed Advocate Imran.

The body of Advocate Imran Asghar was found from his flat last night.

Whether the matter was murder or suicide will be known after investigation, the police said.
