The final of the Pakistan Super League is being held at Gaddafi Stadium today, with Lahore police completing extensive security arrangements to ensure a safe and smooth event, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the report, more than seven thousand police officers and personnel have been deployed for security duties across the stadium and surrounding areas.

The operation includes the deployment of Dolphin Squad units, Police Response Units, and Elite Force teams, which will conduct patrols along key routes and around the venue.

Security forces have also carried out search, sweep, and combing operations in and around players’ residences, travel routes, and the stadium.

Intelligence-based operations were conducted to eliminate any potential threats ahead of the high-profile match.

Officials confirmed that all team movements, accommodation sites, and the stadium premises are being monitored through CCTV surveillance systems.

In addition, snipers have been positioned on nearby high-rise buildings as part of the multi-layered security plan.

Strict entry protocols have been introduced for spectators, with fans required to pass through three separate security checkpoints before being allowed inside the stadium.

Authorities said this measure aims to ensure thorough screening and crowd safety.

Lahore police further stated that all roads leading to the stadium have been sealed with barbed wire and barricades, restricting unauthorised access and maintaining a secure perimeter around the venue.
