Rain coupled with thunderstorms, hailstorms likely in next 24 hours
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has warned of dust thunderstorms, heavy rain, hailstorms and strong winds in several parts of the country during the next twenty four hours.
Partly cloudy weather is expected in Islamabad and its surrounding areas, along with rain with strong winds and thunderstorms. During this time, hail may also occur at a few places.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa partly cloudy weather was reported in most of the upper districts of the province, however rain with strong winds and thundershowers is expected at a few places in Chitral, Buner, Swat, Bajaur, Malakand, Parachinar, Khyber, Mohmand, Mardan, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Battagram, Shangla, Kohistan, Dir, Kohat, Orakzai, Peshawar, Nowshera, Waziristan and surrounding areas.
In Punjab hot and dry weather is expected in most districts of the province while gusty/dusty winds are expected in southern/central districts. Strong winds/winds and thundershowers are expected at a few places in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Khushab, Sargodha, Mianwali, Faisalabad, Sahiwal, Jhang, Lahore, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, DG Khan and Khushab. Hailstorm is also possible at a few places during this period.
In Sindh the weather is likely to remain extremely hot and dry in most districts of the province. However, strong/dusty winds are expected in the central/southern districts in the afternoon.
In Balochistan the weather is likely to remain hot and dry in most districts of the province while it is likely to remain extremely hot in the southern districts. However, light rain may occur at a few places with strong winds and thundershowers in Zhob, Musakhel, Barkhan, Loralai and surrounding areas in the afternoon. In Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan rain and windstorm is expected at a few places.
