Thousands attend Passport DC open house event at Pakistan’s embassy in Washington

Thousands of people flocked to Pakistan’s embassy in Washington to attend Passport DC open house event, which is held every year, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

The visitors greatly appreciated Pakistan’s history, its diverse culture and delicious food.

Pictures, showing celebrations held in connection with the 250 independence of the USA as well as depicting Pak-US friendship, had also been put on display.

Especially, Pakistan’s truck art, costumes and handicrafts especially attracted people’s attention.

Foreigners especially took keen interest in the stalls of Urdu calligraphy and mehndi.

Pakistani music, marked by the sounds of Tabla, harmonium, flute and drum, won hearts of the visitors.
