Charged PML-N workers at Lahore rally slam govt over Shehbaz arrest

Local leaders of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Saturday led a rally in Lahore against the arrest of party President Shehbaz Sharif in a corruption case.
Prominent among the PML-N leaders who led the rally were Saad Rafique, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Khawaja Imran Nazir, Azma Bokhari and Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan.
At the rally, charged PML-N workers condemned the arrest of Shehbaz Sharif and raised “Go Imran Go” slogans. Earlier, a good number of PML-N workers reached The Mall in rallies taken out from different parts of the provincial capital to take part in the protest against the party chief’s arrest.
On the other hand, the stage set by the PML-N activists on Temple Road collapsed and party leaders sitting on the stage fell down. However, no casualties or serious injuries were reported.
