A private airline company’s plane averted crash after a bird hit the airbus during landing at Islamabad International Airport, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

Sources informed that SereneAir flight ER500 from Karachi to Islamabad was landing at the Islamabad airport on Sunday when a bird hit the wide-bodied vehicle. 

The accident caused damage to the landing gear of the airbus 330. However, the pilot managed to bring down the plane and landed successfully.  

Sources further divulged that the plane was grounded after the accident. 

The airline administration ordered another flight to bring the spare parts for the damaged airbus.

The airline also informed its customers that due to bird hitting incident, its flight to Karachi was delayed. The airline further said another airbus would take its passengers to Karachi. The passengers are requested to sit in C II Lounge where they are being provided with all the facilities, the airline concluded.
