Take one cup of tea to make Pakistan team No 1, Ramiz Raja tells PCB staff
New Board chairman lists string of austerity measures to cut down on PCB expenditure
In his message to the PCB employees he addressed recently, Ramiz Raja listed a string of steps to implement the austerity drive.
The newly-appointed chairman had addressed all the board employees from lower staff to the directors at the Imran Khan Enclosure of Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore two days ago.
He told them “Prime Minister Imran Khan has told me how he succeeded in lowering down the expenditure of the Prime Minister’s House. In order to cut down on PCB’s expenditures take one cup of tea instead of two, minimize the use of air-conditioner and switch off the lights when leaving office,” Ramiz told the staff.
In an indirect message to the officers with meaty salaries, Ramiz Raja said “Everybody has to work and give reason for their being here.”
Raja said “My only focus is cricket. We have to lift the level of the game. We have to do a lot for the betterment of the cricket. We have to improve the grassroot cricket and the standard of pitches in Pakistan.”
