Violence against journalists cannot be allowed: Fazl

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that violence against journalists cannot be allowed under any circumstances. 

Speaking to media outside the National Press Club after expressing solidarity with journalists over yesterday’s police raid in the club, Maulana Fazlur Rehman condemned the incident of terrorism that took place inside the club. He expressed solidarity with journalists and said that the police took the law into their own hands and assaulted them. 

Fazl said that the protest by journalists was justified. He said there was need to restore rule of law in the country. Fazl said journalists community should continue to raise voice against atrocities and injustices in the country.
