Pakistan likely to get loan relief from Japan

Pakistan is likely to get loan relief from Japan as Islamabad intensified its efforts seeking deferment in repayment of a loan worth hundreds of millions of dollars, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The TV channel reported that Pakistan-Japan loan deferral agreement is likely to be reached soon. 

It is pertinent to note that Pakistan has to repay a loan of $324.6 million to Japan this year and in total Islamabad has to repay $5.53b in loans to Tokyo, the TV channel reported, quoting its sources.

The sources maintained that loan referral agreement between the two countries will likely take place till 30th September.
