Police have arrested the man just two hours after he subjected a 15-year-old girl to rape in a suburban village of Arifwala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The man, who had spotted the girl, Alishba, working in the fields in village 64 EB in the limits of Saddar police station, raped her at gunpoint.

Taking action on the complaint of the girl, DPO Pakpattan Faisal Mukhtar ordered the Anti-Women Harassment and Violence Cell, which in collaboration with the SHO Saddar police station, took the man into custody and registered case against him following medical examination of the girl confirmed the rape.

Talking to the media, the DPO said that rapists and paedophiles deserved no mercy. He said that purpose of the formation of the cell was to ensure provision of speedy justice to the victim women.
