Banks to provide loans to poor to build houses: PM Imran Khan

Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that the former governments have not made any policy for the poor populace of the country, reported 24News HD TV channel on Friday. 

Addressing the inaugural function of Pakistan Property, Housing, and Construction Expo in Islamabad, the PM said the country did not have any policy for the weaker segment of the society in the past but improving the living standards of the poor is the mission of his government. He said that the people did not pay taxes but ask for facilities. 

The PM said Naya Pakistan cannot be built with a push of a button but it was the name of a struggle and it took time to bring changes in the system. He said the government would do everything possible to help the housing sector, adding that the poor people in Pakistan need houses. 

He said no one has provided the facility for the poor people to build houses but now the banks will provide loans to the poor people to build houses.

PM Khan said China had pulled the poor masses out of poverty and it had become a super power.
