Gold prices hit historic Rs376,700 per tola in Pakistan
Gold Amid Global Price Surge
Gold prices in Pakistan skyrocketed to record levels on Wednesday, in line with a sharp rally in the international market, 24NewsHD TV reported.
According to data released by the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat gold soared by Rs6,000 per tola, setting a new all-time high at Rs376,700.
The previous day’s rate had stood at Rs370,700 per tola.
The price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold also increased by Rs5,144, climbing to Rs322,959 compared with Rs317,815 in the last session.
Meanwhile, 22-karat gold advanced by Rs4,715, settling at Rs296,056 per 10 grams against Rs291,341 previously.
Silver prices followed the bullish trend.
Per tola silver rose by Rs12 to Rs4,315, while the price for 10 grams increased by Rs10 to Rs3,699.
The surge in local prices was directly linked to movements in the international market, where gold also achieved a record high.
Global rates climbed by $60 to settle at $3,540 per ounce, compared to $3,480 a day earlier.
Silver was quoted at $40.82 per ounce internationally, reflecting a modest gain of $0.12.
