Man booked for harassing, threatening girl in Islamabad

Police have registered a case against a man accused of harassing, torturing, and issuing death threats to a young girl within the limits of Hamak police station, reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

According to the FIR lodged on the complaint of the victim’s mother, Gul Bibi, the accused, identified as Sufyan Asif, allegedly threatened to kidnap and kill her daughter. The complainant stated that Asif frequently followed her daughter, intercepted her on the way, and subjected her to physical assault.

The case further alleges that the accused repeatedly visited the family’s residence, brandishing a pistol and issuing threats. The FIR also mentions that a video exists showing the accused pursuing and assaulting the girl.

Police said a dispute over a proposed relationship had been ongoing between the two families. Earlier, both sides had clashed over the issue, after which a Qalandara under breach of peace was registered and both families were directed not to escalate the matter.

However, police said the situation reignited when the accused again attempted to meet the girl. Her parents informed the police, who then took immediate action and registered a fresh FIR against Asif.

The complainant stated that her daughter’s life is in danger and has requested strict legal action against the accused.
