Maria B appears before the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency   

Maria B appeared before the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency NCCIA on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Maria was summoned to give a statement about the videos she posted on the LGBTQ community last month.

The designer’s lawyers had sought time after the NCCIA summoned Maria B. She also sought time to give a statement to the Agency. 

The NCCIA has initiated an inquiry against Maria B.

Earlier, when reports flew in that she was summoned by the agency, she denied them saying these are rumors and she has not received any statement as of yet, but she will give her statement and explain herself if and when she is summoned.

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency had summoned the dress designer after a complaint was filed against her regarding videos of an alleged immoral party involving members of the transgender community on August 23.

The official sources stated that the agency issued a summons notice to Maria Butt, directing her to appear on August 26.

The inquiry was initiated following a complaint lodged by transgender individual Naeem Butt, also known as Seema Butt.

In the complaint, Seema Butt alleged that Maria B deliberately highlighted and circulated videos of the party, which, according to the petitioner, not only targeted the transgender community but also amounted to harassment and defamation.
