Passenger offloaded at Islamabad Airport for using fake travel documents

An attempt to travel abroad on fake travel documents was foiled at Islamabad International Airport when the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration staff offloaded a passenger bound for Portugal.

According to FIA officials, the passenger, identified as Zaryab Ahmed from Sialkot, was scheduled to travel to Portugal on an international flight. During immigration checks, it was discovered that his passport carried a forged Portuguese work visa.

The passenger was immediately stopped from boarding and handed over to the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Islamabad, for further legal proceedings.

FIA sources confirmed that strict action is being taken against individuals attempting to travel on fake documents, as part of the agency’s ongoing efforts to curb human trafficking and illegal migration.
