Sindh govt announces two-day public holiday for Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH)

The Sindh government has announced a two-day public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (peace be upon him).

According to a notification issued by the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department, September 5 (Friday) and September 6 (Saturday) will be observed as public holidays across the province.

All government offices, departments, and institutions, as well as local councils under competent authorities, will remain closed on both days.

The notification added that the decision has been taken in connection with the religious occasion to facilitate the public in participating in celebrations and related activities.

On the contrary, the federal government and Punjab have announced one holiday on September 6.
