The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has decided to send a third notice to Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, adviser to the prime minister of Pakistan on finance and revenue, in an old abuse of powers case.
Earlier, the NAB summoned Shaikh twice, once on October 28 and then on December 1, in a misuse of powers case as finance minister of Pakistan in the past, but he did not appear. However, NAB says Shaikh will be summoned in due course of time.
Shaikh has been accused of misusing his powers against officials of the Federal Board of Revenue. The NAB is also looking into a $11 million irregularities case.
