Citizens seek change amidst ten years of unyielding regimes: Siraj

Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan chief Siraj-ul-Haq Sunday lamented that the nation is currently in distress, submerged in a quagmire, emphasizing the need to change the system, not just the faces, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference here at Mansoora, Haq asserted that the upcoming elections will be a pivotal moment for liberation from the current system and the realization of Kashmir's freedom.

He emphasized that the elections should mark a departure from tyranny, expressing the Jamaat-e-Islami's commitment to eradicating inflation and poverty.

“We believe that the next election should not be a competition between favorite and super favorite rather the next election will be for an interest-free system, Kashmir freedom, Aafia's return, and unemployment."

Expressing skepticism towards pre-election promises, citizens recall instances where leaders have made grand pledges only to disappear post-election.

The names of PTI, PML-N, Steel Mills, and PIA are associated with the destruction of national institutions under the current ruling elites, he emphasized.

He continued that the youth boldly proclaimed a commitment to play a revolutionary role in shaping the nation's destiny.

Understanding that the success of a nation lies in the active participation of its youth, they stand united against the looming showdown between traditional political contenders, he claimed.

JI Ameer said that with the upcoming elections on the horizon, the youth is determined to challenge the existing profit-oriented system.

During the conference, he also cited examples from history, noting that it is the youth who have historically led successful movements for change.

He applauded the youth of Gaza for standing up against oppression.

Recalling the recent past, he asserted that there was a mixed government between the Pakistan Muslim League and the PTI for the last ten years in the country.  All these governments are the watchdogs of the system of tyranny and oppression and loans from IMF, ignorance, inflation of petrol is continued, he remarked.

He added that desperation and insecurity seemed to be increasing everywhere and no change in the lives of the poor was seen.

In these circumstances, a golden opportunity is coming for the public on February 8, we hope that February 8 will be a day of prosperity for the people if they elect the JI candidates, he held.
