Kim Kardashian tears up over Kanye’s claims of ‘faking' Paris robbery

Kim Kardashian became emotional on the latest episode of The Kardashians as she revisited the trauma of her 2016 Paris robbery and revealed that her ex-husband, Kanye West, once claimed she “faked” the entire incident.

The Dec 4 episode followed the 45-year-old SKIMS founder’s recent return to Paris, where she testified in the high-profile trial involving the ten suspects accused of tying her up, holding her at gunpoint and stealing more than $10 million worth of jewellery nearly a decade ago.

In a tearful confessional, Kim shared how deeply West’s comments had affected her. “My ex-husband said, ‘You faked your robbery for a TV show,’ and he said that in front of all these people,” she recalled. “That was a knife to my heart.”

“To think that someone so close to you – someone who should know how much it changed your life – wouldn’t believe you… you don’t know who I am,” she added, visibly emotional.

West, 48, was married to Kim at the time of the heist in her luxury Paris apartment. He famously stopped a concert mid-performance, citing a “family emergency,” when news of the robbery broke.

The episode also captured Kim’s dramatic return to the French courtroom in May 2025. Supported by her mother, Kris Jenner and longtime friend Simone Harouche, the reality star testified for nearly six hours, confronting the men who terrorised her. “To finally go to trial and face them, hear their accounts and apologies… I’m like, see, guys. It was real,” she said.

Kim admitted she feared she would be raped the night of the robbery, revealing she prayed as the intruders entered her room disguised as police officers.

Reflecting afterwards, Kim said the experience changed her “for the better,” calling the ordeal “eight minutes of terror” that would not define her life.
