Mawra Hocane's red look turns heads across UK

Mawra Hocane’s red dress is doing the heavy lifting for a winter wardrobe refresh in a new 20-image Instagram carousel that the Sabaat actor shared from her recent UK trip.

Her caption: “that red dress everywhere with my little red riding hood. 5 days into UK and I finally got some time to post, " complements the post as the carousel shows Mawra and her friend Sarah Khan as they eat, wander and enjoy the chilly nights of the Christmas month.

The Sanam Teri Kasam actress dons a deep red knit dress by @hassalofficial, styled with a slim black waist belt and fawn boots. Several photos from her venture show Mawra at a dimly lit restaurant table with bamboo steamers and dipping bowls, a selfie under festive lights with friend Sarah Khan, a full-length street shot beside a large Christmas decoration, and a posed image in a mall entrance decorated for the season.

Mawra's styling choice is straightforward and effective with minimal accessories, little-to-no make-up and focus on comfort.

Mawra Hocane began her career in the entertainment industry as a television VJ and model before transitioning into acting.

Her early breakthrough came with television dramas such as Ik Tamanna Lahasil Si and Aahista Aahista, where she demonstrated a talent for portraying emotionally layered characters.

In 2016, Mawra expanded her horizons with a Bollywood debut in the romantic drama Sanam Teri Kasam, which exposed her to a broader South Asian audience. Returning to Pakistan, she ventured into film again with Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 (2018), one of the highest-grossing Pakistani films, signaling her commercial viability.

Mawra has also gained recognition on television with acclaimed roles in series such as Sammi (2017), Sabaat (2020) and Qissa Meherbano Ka (2021), where she has taken on diverse, challenging characters.

Beyond acting, she co-founded a clothing line, UxM, with her sister and maintains a strong presence on social media, underlining her status as a modern multimedia personality.

She married Sabaat co-star Ameer Gillani in an intimate wedding in February 2025, and the couple happily resides in Islamabad.
