Babar Azam beats Kohli to become King of Cover Drive in ICC poll

Pakistan’s Babar Azam Thursday deservedly won the accolades of the fans as they selected Pakistan skipper’s cover drive as the best among the generation during an ICC poll.

The International Cricket Council had started a poll on its Twitter account to know the fan’s opinion that which player plays the most elegant, terrific and stylish cover drive.

The competition was between four top batsmen of the modern cricket as well as skipper of their respective teams including England’s Joe Root, New Zealand’s Kane Williamson, India’s Virat Kohli and Pakistan’s Babar Azam.0

And Babar named the king of the cover drive for his so smooth and elegant and stylish execution of the cover drive shot.

He took 46percent votes while Indian fans and their captain Virat Kholi has to take the bitter pill again as he was beaten by 0.1percent of votes with 45.9percent.

Earlier, Kohli had also lost to Pakistan’s former skipper and current Prime Minister Imran Khan in an ICC poll involving individual performance as a captain.

Babar who is currently playing in the second Test against South Africa in Rawalpindi is still on the crease with an elegant 77 runs innings and has become the top trend on the social media microblogging website Twitter.
