Atta Tarar says PM Shehbaz met KP Chief Minister Sohail Afridi on his request

Federal Information Minister Atta Tarar on Wednesday shared details of the meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, saying the prime minister met Afridi on his request and directed him to improve the administrative affairs of his province.

Speaking to 24 NewsHD TV, Tarar stressed that there should be no politics on the issue of health. He said the government did not make fun of Imran Khan’s health nor made any negative remarks in this regard.

Responding to reports about possible talks between Imran Khan and the government, the Information Minister clarified that there is no discussion taking place “on the front or the back.”

Tarar also claimed that PTI no longer has street power. He said that if the party had such influence, the situation in Bannu would have been different and its rallies in Peshawar would not have failed. He added that PTI would find it difficult to gather followers on February 8.

He described Maulana Fazlur Rehman as a natural ally and a smart politician who is clear about the national interest.

The information minister stated that the BLA would also be defeated soon. Referring to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Tarar said he had played a “masterstroke,” adding that the people of Bangladesh are thanking him. He claimed that Mohsin Naqvi played a significant role in what he described as an important handshake, and now India is facing financial difficulties.
