Gold price soars by Rs14,800 per tola in Pakistan

Gold prices surged in the local market on Wednesday, as the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs14,800 to settle at Rs529,162, the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association reported.
Likewise, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold rose by Rs12,689 to Rs453,671 whereas that of 10 grams of 22-karat gold went up by Rs11,632 to Rs415,880.
The silver prices also recorded an increase, with 24-karat silver per tola rising by Rs109 to Rs9,255 and 10 grams of silver increasing by Rs93 to Rs7,934.
In the international market, gold prices climbed by $148 to $5,064 per ounce, while silver rose by $1.09 to $87.80 per ounce, the association reported.
