Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi reaffirms support for new DG during FIA Headquarters visit 

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi Wednesday visited the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) headquarters in Islamabad, where he met the newly appointed Director General FIA, Dr Usman Anwar, and expressed his best wishes.

During the meeting, Mohsin Naqvi said he hoped the FIA would emerge as an exemplary institution under the leadership of Dr Usman Anwar. He expressed confidence that the new DG would utilize all his energies and professional capabilities to make the agency active and effective in line with public expectations.

The interior minister assured Dr Usman Anwar of his full support, stating that the government stands with him to transform the FIA into a modern, strong, and efficient institution.

Speaking on the occasion, DG FIA Dr Usman Anwar said that the agency would be brought up to international standards through the use of modern technology and specialized training. He added that all possible steps would be taken to improve the performance and efficiency of the FIA.

Mohsin Naqvi also inspected the under-construction committee room at the FIA headquarters. It was decided to reconstruct and renovate the FIA building in accordance with modern requirements.

The commandant of the National Police Academy, DG NCCIA, Inspector General of Islamabad Police, and senior FIA officers were also present during the visit.
