Cold and foggy weather to continue across Pakistan, severe cold in mountains

Cold and dry weather is expected across most parts of Pakistan on Monday, with severe cold predicted in the mountainous areas, the Meteorological Department has forecast.

In Islamabad and surrounding areas, cold and dry conditions are expected, while fog is likely during the night and morning hours.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts will experience cold and dry weather, with severe cold in the mountains during mornings and nights. Fog is expected in Peshawar, Mardan, Nowshera, Charsadda, Swabi, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat, DI Khan, and nearby areas.

Punjab will see cold and dry weather in most districts, with severe cold and partly cloudy conditions in Murree, Galiyat, and surrounding areas.

Moderate to heavy fog is forecast in cities including Sialkot, Narowal, Jhelum, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Okara, Kasur, Sahiwal, Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Shorkot, Multan, Kot Addo, Bahawalnagar, Khanpur, Bahawalpur, and Rahim Yar Khan.

Balochistan is expected to remain cold and dry, with northern districts experiencing severe cold during mornings and nights. Sindh will also be cold and dry, with fog likely in Sukkur, Rohri, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mohenjodaro, and surrounding areas.

Cloudy weather with rain and snowfall in the hills is expected in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Today’s minimum temperatures were recorded at Leh minus 11°C, Gupis and Kalat minus 5°C, Skardu and Astor minus 4°C, Parachinar, Malam Jabba, and Hunza minus 3°C, and Kalam, Quetta, and Rawalakot minus 2°C.
