Pakistan Army’s Israr Khattak wins Karachi Marathon again
Khattak finishes 42 kilometres in two hours and forty minutes
The BYD Marathon was held at Nishan-e-Pakistan Sea View on Sunday, attracting thousands of participants, including women and children.
The event featured a full marathon, a half marathon, a 5-kilometre fun run, and a 10-kilometre rally, offering options for participants of all ages and fitness levels.
In the 42-kilometre full marathon, Pakistan Army runner Israr Khattak claimed first place, completing the course with remarkable speed and endurance.
Khattak, a defending champion from last year, demonstrated remarkable endurance and stamina as he crossed the finish line ahead of a competitive field of participants.
His victory marks a consecutive win at the prestigious marathon, highlighting his consistent performance and dedication to long-distance running.
The Karachi Marathon, which attracts athletes from across the country, is a major sporting event aimed at promoting fitness, healthy competition, and community engagement in the city.
Spectators cheered Khattak’s achievement, celebrating the triumph of Pakistan’s military athletes on the national stage.
