Roof collapses during wedding in Charsadda, six guests dead, five injured

A wedding celebration in Shabqadar, a tehsil of Charsadda district, turned into a tragic scene of mourning on Sunday after the roof of a house collapsed, killing six people and injuring five others.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the incident occurred during a wedding gathering when the roof of a room suddenly gave way, trapping several guests under the debris.
The police officials said most of the victims were reported to be wedding guests who had travelled to the area to attend the wedding ceremony.
The bodies of the deceased and the injured were rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Shabqadar, where several of the injured were said to be in critical condition.
Rescue teams and local residents took part in relief efforts, removing rubble to recover those trapped beneath the collapsed structure.
Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the collapse, while local officials expressed grief over the loss of lives
