The Special Branch (SB) of the police department, in its report submitted to the Punjab government, has pointed out the presence of 215 hired assassins in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the report revealed that these persons got ready to take lives of innocent people merely for few millions of rupees.

Sources further disclosed that the report had also pinpointed the people running the networks of killers; both from within the city and outside of the city and the country.  

Another bone-chilling revelation made in the report, they added, was that over 2, 000 people had been murdered by these persons in the city in the last few years.

Alarmed at the presence of hired assassins in the Punjab capital, Lahore police had now started working on eliminating them, the sources concluded.
