Arrests made after lion injured three people in Lahore
The police in Lahore on Friday arrested owners of a lion after filing a first information report (FIR) against them in Lahore over failing to control a lion which attacked and injured three people on Thursday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The owners were named as Malik Azam Shani, Malik Ghulam Murtaza, and Behram. The Johar Town police filed the FIR under sections of Wildlife Act, which included murder attempt and failure to control a lion.
Earlier on Thursday, a pet lion went on the rampage in the Shah Di Khui area of Lahore and injured three people – a woman and two children.
Malik Azam alias Malik Shani and Malik Behram had taken their pet lion out for a walk when it went on the rampaged and attacked people of the locality.
The injured people were admitted to Jinnah Hospital.
DIG Operations Faisal Kamran took notice of the incident. He called a team from the wildlife department to capture the lion.
